Join us for our Child’s Play Summer Reading program. The 2021 theme is Tail & Tales and will feature books about animals, tall tales and fairy tales. This is a collaborative program between the Ephraim Historical Foundation and the Ephraim Branch of the Door County Library. This program is limited to 20 children per week so that we may maintain safe social distance, per CDC recommendations. Please reserve space for your children each week that you plan to have them attend.
July 8: Tall Tales will feature “Johnny Appleseed-A Tall Tale Retold” by Steven Kellogg, “Annie Oakley” by Eric Blair and “Shark Lady” by Jess Keating.
July 15: An Animal Tail will feature “Lighthouse Mouse” by Sue Jarosh, our guest author.
July 22: Animal Tails “Look to the North, A Wolf Pup Diary” by Jean Craighead George, “Ragweed’s Farm Dog Handbook” by Ann Vittur Kennedy.
July 29: Bear Tales “Mother Bruce” by Ryan T. Higgins and “The Legend of the Teddy Bear” by Frank Murphy.
Each week will feature activities and snack to go along with the books.
Child’s Play is a free program, but donations are greatly appreciated to help off-set the cost of materials. Thank you for your support!
