Cranberry Cake with Sauce

1 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup Carnation evaporated milk (large)
1 tsp. salt
2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 Tbsp. butter
1/2 cup water
1 lb whole cranberries

Combine all ingredients and pour into a greased bundt pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes. Cool and serve with sauce on each piece or freeze in foil for later use.

Sauce:
1 cup or rest of canned milk
2 cups granulated sugar
1/4 lb. butter
2 tsp. vanilla

Bring to a rolling boil and use as sauce.
A very good dessert for the holidays.
