The Ephraim Historical foundation has thousands of documents, photographs, works of art and objects related to the history of the village of Ephraim.
This includes: letters, county and federal records, business records, postcards, advertisements, garments, prints, drawings, paintings, sculpture, jewelry, furniture, ceramics, household items, and much more.

Yes! Much of our collection has been generously donated by the community and people like you! The EHF does not purchase items and has built its collection through donations from individuals, families, and organizations.

Yes! We make our collection available for research by appointment only. Whether you are interested in genealogy, business history, church history, or anything in between, you can make an appointment to view pieces from the collection by contacting our Curator.

One of our fundamental goals as an organization is to support local education and research. While we attempt to accommodate all research requests, as a small team we are limited by workload and availability.
Researchers and students are welcome to email the Curator to arrange a meeting or discuss their research goals.
Anderson Family Archival Collection

The Anderson Family Archival Collection contains a rich assortment of personal, familial, and business records spanning over a century.
They include day books and ledgers which provide accounts of purchases, sales, and accounts receivable from the family’s store and dock, correspondences both personal and business, catalogs, advertisement materials, educational materials from the Anderson children, and various other ephemera.

Hachmeister-Cherry Family Collection

The Hachmeister-Cherry Family Collection spans a diverse range of items including archival material as well as framed and unframed art, personal correspondence, photographs, original lino-blocks, and more. Most of the material was created by Martha Hachmeister-Cherry, who was highly involved in the EHF prior to her passing in 2005.
Pioneer Schoolhouse Archival Collection

The Pioneer Schoolhouse Archival Collection features various school registers and documents related to the Ephraim School, dating back to the 1800s. It also includes correspondences, certificates, and records related to teachers and their contracts.
