Jeff O’Keeffe, Curator & Collections Manager

Jeff was born and raised in the south suburbs of Chicago, growing up spending time in Door County with his family throughout his life. He attended Columbia College Chicago where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Photography, with a minor in Visual Arts Management. Much of his artistic practice has been informed by the natural beauty of the Midwest and Great Lakes regions, specifically inspired by the Door Peninsula. Jeff first chose to call Door County home in 2019, serving as Social Media Director and On-air Talent at fm 106.9 the Lodge, and prior to joining the Ephraim Historical Foundation he worked for his alma mater Columbia College Chicago as an Instructional Specialist in the School of Fine and Preforming Arts. He is interested in how art and cultural artifacts express and inform our experiences, and how local and personal histories give depth to places and communities.
